Method to the Madness

How could I resist a paint color called 'Aurucana Green'? After all, some of my favorite feathered friends are of the Aurucana persusasion and they gift me with eggs that are this loverly shade of green. And this was 'Green Eyes' former bedroom, so it had to be green. Alas, no color chip called 'Green Eyes'. I'm finding it a much more pleasant task to choose the color chips by their name rather than to rely purely on visual attraction or matching it to curtains or fabric. I have collected a few extra color chips with names such as Silver Artemisia and Eucalyptus Blue. Hmm, which room to paint next?

I knew these would have to be Martha Stewarts-she so does color cool (and loves her chickens), both this, and the blue are lovely!

These are scrumptious colors! Have you liked the texture of "The Martha's" paint? One or two coats?
Can you tell I'm plotting my next project?!!!

Well, it's not exactly Martha's Paint..they are Lowe's paint mixed with Martha's color palette. I think KMart sells Martha Stewart brand paints.Primer plus two coats!

I really love the color! But it would annoy me like crazy because true Aracauna chickens lay blue eggs. LOL! Good color choices. You have me ready for spring painting, once the weather breaks! :)

Hi Shell, I've had quite a few Arucanas and their eggs range in color from green to blue...they are as varied in color as the birds themselves...strange 'ducks' they are! LOL
